Oh Christmas Tree

Last Friday I wanted to surprise my husband and decorated our house for Christmas. It took me hours to finish the Christmas Tree as there are 850 lamps in it...not to mention all other decorations. When he got home after midnight I just finished it and saw a very surprised husband coming home for the weekend...The storm and rain that was falling all weekend helped us staying inside enjoying this new Christmas feeling!

Santa's Little Helper

Yesterday I finished another LO with 'A Wildflower Holiday'. This is for The Meadow blog's 12/3 scraplift challenge of Jenny's (jleigh76) layout - Bundle up. Credits can be found here. Think I'll use this layout and my layout 'I've been good' for the Christmascards my little boys give their frieds at school.

Yesterday 'I've been good' was choosen for Layout of the Day at Nuts4Digi..a great compliment for both the designer and myself!

At the North Pole

Yesterday evening Patricia Christensen released a new Add-on minikit 'A Wildflower Holiday At The North Pole'. An abundance of festive elements to brighten your holiday layouts and cards! Santas from the 'Olde Worlde' traditional to 2007 quirky and a couple of reindeer and an elf all add to the fun! Included are some glittered paper ornaments with raffia ties and tree limbs to hang them on. There are 3 plain textured background papers and a snowbank overlay ~ also some bare winter trees, a cute cartoony Christmas tree and two notebook paper candy canes.

Before I went to bed I finished my first layout...it's a classy one..the fun layout will follow hopefully tomorrow!

Expecting more snow

Thuesday evening Patricia Christensen called me on 'Hello' and told me she just finished a new kit. A Wildflower Holiday ~ 'Expecting More Snow' is an add-on mini kit with 7 varied snow people! These little guys are perfect for holiday cards, invitations and notes as well as brightening you winter scrapping layouts! Also, included is a plain background paper and some subtle scrolls that can be used large or small to add interest to your background. Two distressed images; 1. Snow-covered trees and 2. A woodland scene with a deer are perfect additions to enhance your background. Highlights of this kit are the frozen icicles and icy alphabet! The icicles can be 'broken' off and added where you please!

Ofcourse I started scrapping right away but as I lately don't sleep that much (yes..sorry..I confess..I am addicted)I made a mistakes twice and lost both my layouts and had to start all over again..but here they are...

Jolly sleighriding

I already made two layouts with 'A wildflower holiday'. First layout - Be Jolly - shows my father, husband and two sons having great fun in the snow..it was on December 30th, 2005.

For the second layout 'Sleighride' I used a picture from my parents at their Norwegian holiday last February when they had a 'dog-sleighding-safari'. It was a great experience for them and the photo shows how great it must have been! I used this layout for the next Meadow challenge where we had to make a page using one of the weeds & wildflowers alpha's but for the whole layout we had to use only one colour scheme.

A Wildflower Holiday

Yes...there is a new collab kit at 'Weeds and Wildflowers Design'!
'A Wildflower Holiday' is a versatile kit packed with artistic images of this joyful season. The above kit was designed by Patricia Christensen to contribute in a collaborative effort with W & W designers, Gina Huff and Heidi Williams -- utilizing the same palette so that all papers and elements can be used with 'Wildflower Holiday' creations by Heidi and Gina to give you much greater possibilities! And here are the contributions of Gina and Heidi....ofcourse...I bought them all and it's great working with it!

The boy...

I finally finished the challenge at The Meadow I told you about.

It's a picture of my youngest son with my oldest dog in the park close to our house. It was a great challenge and it gets me to scrap outside of my regular comfort zone.

Credits can be found here!

Fall Romance

I finished another CT-kit for Nuts4Digi. This time I worked with kit 'Fall Romance' by Kill-R-Designs. I made two layouts and used pictures from my boys for it...Think it looks pretty cool! Don't you?

Sinterklaas

At Digitaalscrappen.nl designers Miranda Bontan and Ikscrap-Ingeborg made a collab Sinterklaas-kit.

Lots of you probably never heard about Sinterklaas so let me tell you about this dutch tradition.....half of November 'Sinterklaas' and his little helpers arrive by boat from Spain. Kids welcome them in all dutch harbours and Sinterklaas makes a tour through town on his white horse Amerigo. From that moment kids may put - after singing sinterklaas-songs - their shoes in front of the chimney and at night, when the kids are all asleep...the little helpers come through the chimney (that's why they are black) and put sweets and little presents in the shoes.

On the 5th of December - the day before Sinterklaas' birthday - kids get 'big- and lots of present. Some kids are visited by Sinterklaas and other kids just hear lots of banging on the door and find all presents in front of the door...

On December 6th, Sinterklaas finally goes back home..back to Spain!

The kit Miranda and Ingeborg is specially made for this tradition..but...the papers are truly beautiful and can also be used for other occasions...I hope an Add-on will follow so it will remain a complete kit..

Meadow

Please check out 'The Meadow' for a great scraplift challenge...making a layout with a "lack of color" with that EYE POP of color in an element or photo. For further details check The Meadow!

All participants will receive a quick page created by Jenny with the gorgeous new products made by Gina Marie Huff in a collab kit with the Funky Playground Designers called Spreading Cheer.

I couldn't resist all that great papers and elements... ;-)

'Singing Praises'

Today I made this layout, 'Happy Harvest' with Patricia Christensen's 'Singing Praises' Harvest Fest Add-on Mini Kit. You should really take a detailed look at this mini kit 'cause it's a beauty (lovely detailed elements and a fun pretzel alpha).

Then..some big Big BIg BIG news....Patricia asked me to stay in her Creative Team FULL TIME...I can't tell you how happy I am and so I am one of Pat's Pansies now ;-)

Cute and Adorable

I made a double layout with Patricia Christensen's kit 'Harvest Fest' available at Weeds and Wildflowers Design. These are pictures of my son when he was about 6 months old in May, 2003. Time flies...

From Holland with Love

Berna Datema renewed her kit 'From Holland with Love' and brought it back to Digitaalscrappen.nl. Perfect for all Dutch layouts... I made a layout about 'Middelburg', where I live and a layout of my son learning how to skate last winter.

Nunc Scio Quit Sit Amor

Or in other words...Now I know what love is!
I made two layouts with Patricia Christensen's 'Cosmos kit' available at Weeds and Wildflowers Design.

The first layout I used for the 3-things-challenge at 'The Meadow'. You needed to use more than one frame, use a circle and use a flower....

Josiah

For my CT-work at Nuts4Digi I made two layouts with Fiona Renwick's baby-boy-kit 'Josiah'. It's a sweet kit for all your baby-photo's! And the beauty's on these layouts? These are my own great boys!

Waterfun

Also availabel at Digitaalscrappen.nl is the new kit 'Waterfun' by designer Plientje B. Here are my layouts with this kit!

Sinterklaas

In Holland, half of November 'Sinterklaas' arrives by boat from Spain together with lots of his little helpers. On his birthday - December 5th - 'he' gives toys and sweets to all kids...it's a very old tradition that still holds on.

Miranda Bontan at Digitaalscrappen.nl made a special kit so we could scrap our 'Sinterklaas'pictures!

Puppies

This layout is also made with Patricia Christensen's 'Harvest Fest'. I took the picture exactly one year ago in the first week we had Daisy. She was at that moment just eight weeks old!

Harvest Fest

Today there will be a new kit from Patricia Christensen in the shop at 'Weeds and Wildflowers Design'. The kit is called 'Harvest Fest' and it is such a beautiful kit...and I was the first to get it ;-)

Man's best friend

I used another kit of Patricia Christensen...'Roughing it!'. For this scrap I used a photo I made last week when Daisy was on surgery and we took Quincy to the forest. Think it is a rough layout!!
